LIFE!

29 April 2026

John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

These familiar words of Jesus unto Martha were said moments before they went to the grave of Lazarus.

Now do not miss this, because right there Jesus revealed unto us who He is long before He Himself died on the cross and rose from the grave!

As John revealed to us the detail of who Jesus is, through Lazarus' resurrection, Matthew also revealed to us why Christ is the Resurrection and Life. Matthew told us what happened at the moment Jesus died on the cross: the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom, and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, and the graves were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many (Matt 27:50-53).

Ah, wow, you see, Matthew pointed to those believers in Christ during His ministry who died before Jesus' death on the cross and how their bodies stood up in the grave, awaiting the resurrection of Christ before they walked out of the tombs!

Can you see why Christ is the RESURRECTION and LIFE?

Paul gave us even further insight into Jesus being the resurrection and life by making known unto us that Christ IS THE FIRST FRUITS of those who have fallen asleep (1 Cor. 15:20), and because Jesus is who He said He is, we got to see how the saints who were dead became alive and followed Him in His resurrection as the harvest!

Back to Lazarus—remember what Jesus also told Martha on that day on their way to Lazarus' grave: "He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die."

Oh hallelujah! Dear friend, I pray that you will fathom for a moment what it means to believe who Jesus is, the Resurrection and Life—through faith in Him, we have eternal life!

Jesus' question that day unto Martha: "Do you believe this?” is the question every person on this planet should answer, because it determines if you have life or not.

I praise the Lord Jesus that I know for sure, undoubtedly, who He is, the Resurrection and Life, the One who made me alive who was dead in my sins and gave me ETERNAL LIFE!

AMEN
