More than conquerors

9 June 2026

Romans 8:37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

To win or have a victory in life over challenges or adversity or things that come against us is one thing, but to be more than a conqueror confirms a way of life all the time; it describes someone living in constant victory.

Now before all of us go, "No, I don’t know of anybody that qualifies to be such a person," remember, this is who every believer in Christ Jesus is!

Because the victory that Christ achieved on our behalf will last forever, and His victory allows all who truly believe in Him to live as a winner all the time!

Think about this: on every level of life, conquerors, people who have tasted victory, live differently.

Conquerors live in the glory of that moment when they won; they don’t live toward a winning moment during the victory because they understand the aftermath of living from that victory they were part of.

Paul used this description to indicate who we are in Christ: not now and then, but all the time! Even if we still engage in battles, not one of those things coming against us can take away our eternal victory in Christ!

Things, what things?

Well, Paul mentioned the things that we all battle every day, things like tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword, things like death and life, angels and rulers and powers, the present or future things, certain heights and depths we reach, or any other createdthing;, nothing and no one can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord (Rom 8:35 & 38-39)!

The question is, are you living from the love of God in Christ, cause only IN Christ, you know that this love empowers you and allows you to walk in life as conquerors.

God's love for us cannot be surpassed or suppressed, and because of His love, living from His love, we overcome.

Nothing, no one, "null nada" can ever cancel or surpass or take away Jesus’ victory at the cross and grave for those who believe in Him.

That’s why Paul wrote, "Who/what will separate us from the love of Christ?"

Nothing, no one. That’s the language of a conqueror.

May you fathom the love God has for you and what it means to be included in Christ's victory so that we live by faith through Him as more than conquerors to God's glory!

Amen
