Acts 13:38-39 Therefore let it be known to you, brothers, that through Him forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, and through Him everyone who believes is freed from all things, from which you could not be freed through the Law of Moses.
Almost all Bible translations read THROUGH HIM in both verses as I just read, while the truth is that Paul only once used the words διὰ τούτου (dia toutou) which means through Him. The following verse reads ἐν τούτῳ (en toutō) which means "in Him."
Now this was so important that Paul said: "LET IT BE KNOWN TO YOU" when he testified of "through Christ and "in Christ." You see Paul wanted us to KNOW the simple reality of both!
THROUGH Christ's death on the cross, the forgiveness of our sins took place. Now get this, as the forgiveness of our sins happened THROUGH Christ, those who believe IN Christ is now considered justified!
The Gospel makes known unto us what happened to our sins THROUGH Jesus' death on the cross, so that by faith in Him, those who believe gets to live justified IN Jesus!
Paul made it clear that nobody got justified through their own efforts or even through their best attempt to keep the Law of Moses, only THROUGH what Christ did on the cross, so that by believing IN Christ, we get to live righteous, justified IN Him.
Sadly, there are so many people who say they know a lot about Jesus but are not familiar with what really happened to them THROUGH His death, let alone grasp that they can live justified IN Him.
The Gospel Paul preached proclaims in all simplicity what happened to us through Christ and who every believer is now in Christ.
This is why I can also proclaim like Paul, that I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.
May you too KNOW what happened to you THROUGH Jesus Christ, and by believing in Him you
